Actors and actresses  in the entertainment industry often come and go.

There are those who enjoy the spotlight for a long period of time, while there are those who leave in the middle of their rising career or while waiting for their breakthrough.

Fortunately, there are celebrities  who are able to pull up a consistent career path from being child stars to their present status.

One of the child stars who have managed to cross the bridge from being a child actress to becoming an admired teen star is Eliza Pineda or Maria Eliza Pineda Bautista in real life.

Eliza is one of the top child stars in the early 2000’s having been cast in several TV series that hit the rating charts.

Some of the notable characters she portrayed on the small screen as a child actress are the roles she had in the TV series “Maria Flordeluna”, the action series “Kung Fu Kids” and the reality gag show “Goin’ Bulilit”.

After honing her acting craft in the Kapamilya network during her childhood years as a Star Magic Talent, the talent, training arm of ABS-CBN, the 23-year-old young star is now in contract with GMA Artists.

She shows up in the network for TV guests and other projects.

Starting as a sweet child star with an angelic face, Eliza has come along way and is now a fine young lady with spotlight still shining for her.

In fact, in the report from Readersdigest.com, an online entertainment portal, Eliza is now open to doing photo shoots for men’s magazine.

With that plan in mind, she does not see any hindrance as her family, particularly her mom, is very supportive of her in everything that she does.

Although at present Eliza has limited  TV and film appearances compared to the number of shows that she had in the past, that does not stop her from getting good number of followers in social media.

Her Instagram account shows more than 160 thousand followers.

In her account, Eliza’s posted photos show how she has transformed from being the child star on screen to a beautiful young woman in real life.

What can be more frustrating that calling your girlfriend with someone else’s name on national television?

This is actually what happened on March 6 in one of the episodes of the GMA 7 noontime show “Wowowin!”

One of the contestants of the show’s episode “Willie of Fortune” was accidentally called by her boyfriend “Michelle” instead of her actual name “Cris.”

And the worse part is that the segment was aired live so there is nothing that he can do to take back what he just said.

His statement was heard real-time by the studio audience and the televiewers.

The name of Cris’ boyfriend is Moy.

He was supposed to greet his girlfriend for their two-year anniversary.

However, he mentioned “Michelle” instead of his girlfriend’s correct name.

The show host Willie Revillame immediately scolded the guy for committing such unusual error.

“Dalawang taon na kayong magkarelasyon. First time niyo mapanood sa telebisyon. Tatawagin mo ‘yung girlfriend mo ng Michelle? Hello! Sino si Michelle?” Willie said.

It turned out that Michelle is a name of Moy’s neighbor to which he explained immediately that it was just a mistake.

‘Yung asawa po ng kapitbahay namin, si Dante po. Nagkamali po,” Moy explained.

The audience also were surprised and laughing at the same time.

Cris had a surprusing reaction to what just happened on air. Watch here!
